Today we're going to talk about pricing your services as a speech therapist in private practice. And I think the danger is sometimes that we look around and see what others are charging, and either charge the same or we undercut them.

STEP 1:
So the first thing I would want to say is
Don't undercut your competitor
. I know that people think Well, I can go on the web, I can see what so and so is charging, Or maybe I can ask. my friend who is also a speech therapist in private, practices what they're charging and, you know, I'll do the same sort of thing. Or maybe charge a little bit less
STEP 2 :
don't look at what your insurance companies are charging or what others say. Maybe locum agencies were charging, is under the market value.
STEP 3
. Okay, So, first of all, I want you to write down your annual take-home salary.
STEP 4
Now , what I want to do is add 30% . So that is all the expenses
STEP 5
Now, I want you to think about the number of weeks that you're going to be working
STEP 6
And then you need to think about how many clients you want to have in that week.
STEP 7
OK, Now, I would like to encourage you to add another 10% which is profit on top of that
